Lexify: Guided & Exploratory Structured Literacy Course
Kids with dyslexia are pretty smart. We are good at solving problems! We are creative! We see the BIG picture! Our brains are good at reasoning, AND we have a unique way of thinking in 3D!
I'm LexicAnna. I have dyslexia. Because of this super power, I'm taking what I learn from Miss Danielle and I'm creating a 3D world for kids who learn the way I do - by exploring!
LexicAnna will help your child visualize and conceptualize:
- Phonemic awareness - the understanding that all words are made up of just 44 individual sounds, or phonemes.
- Phonics - the connection between the 44 phonemes and how they are written with letters or groups of letters (graphemes).
- The 6 syllable types - Each syllable type has a particular vowel pattern, and when your child's brain can quickly identify them in bigger words, decoding becomes more automatic.
- The progression of reading one-syllable words to skillfully decoding multisyllabic words with schwa, prefixes, and suffixes.
- The building (spelling) of multisyllabic words out of phonemes and graphemes.

Lexify is ideal for struggling readers ages 6-9.
The two versions of this course, the Guided Version with LexicAnna, and the Exploratory Version, work together, and your child will progress through the course online at home.
LexicAnna is a wonderful guide, and she will coach your child from simple, single-sound concepts to the most complex, big-picture reading and spelling skills - all in an explicit, systematic way.
Very early early in the course, your child will have the knowledge and skills to be able to successfully decode more than HALF of all the words we speak!
When Lexify is used with integrity and your child completes the course and the independent practice activities, you can expect a remarkable improvement of one grade level or more in reading.
The time for course completion is as varied as the children who need it.
It is self-paced, and we recommend working at least 4 days a week:
- 10 minutes a day in the Guided Version
- 10 minutes a day in the Exploratory Version
- 15 minutes a day playing the Independent Practice Games
