I CAN HELP!

We believe that every child with dyslexia deserves the opportunity to succeed, regardless of financial challenges.

We created The Dyslexia Support Scholarship to help families access essential, research-based treatment for their children, often at little to no cost.

How It Works

Our scholarship program connects children with qualified clinicians who provide evidence-based dyslexia tutoring. We cover the costs for these services by compensating the specialists.

How We Find and Select Participants

Teachers and Educational Psychologists often refer struggling readers to us, and we use straightforward criteria to assess financial need—such as whether a child qualifies for free or reduced-price school meals.

Customized Treatment Plans

Once a child is approved, we find a provider that fits the family's needs and budget. This ensures the child receives effective support whether it is in-person or with live, online sessions.

Our Commitment to Excellence

We follow the International Dyslexia Association’s standards to make sure our providers are well-qualified and CERI certified.

Who can apply for this scholarship?

If your child is a struggling reader age 7-10 and dyslexia tutoring is a financial hardship for your family, please apply for the Dyslexia Support Scholarship.

How much is the scholarship?

The amount of the scholarship depends on:

the availability of funds
financial need
the cost of the tutor/program per hour
the projected duration of the program

How do I apply?

You'll first complete and submit the application below. If approved and funds are available:

We will help you find a Certified Structured Literacy Specialist who will work with your child (if you do not already have one.)
We will negotiate the price of the tutoring/program with the Specialist on your behalf, taking into account their hourly rate and the projected length of the program.
We will offer the tutor/program pricing and the scholarship award to you for your consideration.
You will work directly with the Specialist to schedule your child's tutoring sessions.
You will pay the Specialist directly for the tutoring services - minus the scholarship amount.
Upon receipt of services from the Specialist, the Dyslexia Support Scholarship will directly reimburse the Specialist the amount of the scholarship.
